Zoom Announces VARplus Program

Boston, MA, July 29, 1999 - Zoom Telephonics (NASDAQ: ZOOM), has announced an aggressive Value Added Reseller (VAR) recruiting program for both Zoom modem and networking products, and the recently acquired line of Hayes business communications products. Zoom has also announced that the Hayes products will be marketed exclusively through VARs in the USA.

• Evaluation and Seed Unit Program

• Field training for ZoomAir wireless networking products
• Optional E-mail notification of distributor promotions
• Exclusive toll-free Hot Line support, staffed by senior level technicians
