Serial RS-232
Please note the presence or absence of
letters in the below model numbers when selecting files for
your modem. An "L" in your modem's serial number indicates
that you have an Agere (Lucent) chipset. The absence of an "L" or
the presence of a "C" indicates you have a Conexant (Rockwell)
chipset. The modem's serial number is located under the barcode
on the bottom label. "x" is any integer from 0-9 in the following
examples:
xxxx-Z3048-xx-xxL-xxxx uses an Agere chipset.
xxxx-Z3048-xx-xxC-xxxx uses a Conexant chipset.
xxxx-Z2945-xx-xx-xxxx uses a Conexant chipset.
Firmware updates for use with our Agere chipset-based modems
will not work with our Conexant chipset-based modems, and
vice versa. |
