PC Card

Please note the presence or absence of an "L" or "M" in the below model numbers when selecting files for your modem. An "L" or "M" in your modem's serial number indicates that you have an Agere (Lucent) chipset. The absence of an "L" or "M" indicates you have have Conexant (Rockwell) chipset. The modem's serial number is located under the barcode on the bottom label. "x" is any integer from 0-9 in the following examples:
xxxx-Z2976-xx-xxL-xxxx uses an Agere chipset.
xxxx-Z2976-xx-xxM-xxxx uses an Agere chipset.
xxxx-Z2976-xx-xx-xxxx uses a Conexant chipset.

Firmware updates for use with our Agere (Lucent) chipset-based products will not work with our Conexant (Rockwell) chipset-based products, and vice versa.
