Mac OS X (v10.4 - 10.8) Driver Setup
for 300 Mbps Wireless-N USB Adapter

Installing the Wireless-N USB Adapter in Mac OS X

Important: Do not plug the Adapter into your computer yet. We will tell you when to plug it in.

  1. Double click on the Installer.pkg (OS X10.4 double click the Installer.mpkg) and then click Continue.
  2. Click Continue on the important Information screen.
  3. Click Continue on the Software License Agreement Screen. Then click Agree. If the Software License does not appear on your screen you can review it in the full length user manual on the CD.
  4. Click Install. When prompted for your Name and Password, enter the name and password you use to login to your computer. Click Install Software (OS X 10.4 and 10.5 users click OK).
  5. Click Continue Installation to install the software now. When the installation is complete click Restart to restart your computer.
  6. Wait until you see the desktop then plug your USB adapter into one of the available USB slots on your computer.
  7. The drivers will install automatically. When prompted to enable the WLAN card click OK.
  8. The System Preferences pane opens. Under Internet & Wireless click Network. To enable the wireless adapter follow the steps for your OS.

    OS X 10.5 – 10.8 users:

    1. Click + to add a new adapter.
    2. When prompted to select the interface, click on the Interface dropdown menu and select 802.11n WLAN Adapter (OS X 10.5 users select Ethernet Adapter (en x), where x is a number).
    3. Click Create then click Apply. You can now close the Network pane.

    OS X 10.4 users:

    1. The New Port Detected box appears. Click OK.
    2. From the Show drop down menu select Ethernet Adapter (en x), where x is a number.
    3. Click Apply Now. You can now close the Network pane.
